Crazy selection of cheese, you can get almost anything here. They sell wines too, the selection is good but prices seem high compared to other places.

If you love cheese of all kinds, Italian sandwich meats and an assortment of other foods, you will love Caputo's. It is a small shop, but filled with a lot to choose from. You can get a fresh sandwich or salad and enjoy it at one of the tables outside. Staff is very friendly and service is good.

Interesting review from what it seams to be ex-employee. Everything I bought here always seemed fresh and delicious. I'm confused by that last review as staff always seams happy and ready to help. If some of the management can shed some light to that comment it would be appreciated. The Caputo offers one of the best selections of cheeses I seen in Chicagoland, we are regular here as we love trying new varieties. We don't buy much from their salad bar so I can't comment to freshness of those ingredients. Any cut meat produce always seamed and tasted fine to me. Very confused at this point, but will be going back for cheese selection and meats.

working in this place is one of the worst decisions you can make you get paid so little and the befitting they offered are pretty much none existent. Second reason why if a manager sees an item that going bad they don’t throw it away they just keep selling it saying that is fine and that you should not worry. Third reason don’t eat anything that have you not open your self because some item from the salad bar could be 3 or 2 weeks old warning you can get sick

So many cheeses from so many places. Most of the cheese had description cards too, telling you where it comes from, what it tastes like, how long it's aged, and more. There is more than just cheese here too.

This shop is fabulous! The selection of cheeses, meats and desserts is overwhelming. I had a cheese and meat tray ordered for a Game of Thrones party and Jason not only selected great cheeses but added theatrical descriptions that my guests loved! Above and beyond, Jason!

If you love cheese this is very much worth the stop. The cheeses are great but the staff are even better, it was great fun talking to them to pick out cheeses for my cheese hound of a dad. They were very knowledgeable and passionate, without the side of snobbery that you sometimes get in gourmet food shops.

Fantastic cheese selection! The only one I couldn't find was Burrino. The variety of soft cheeses I obtained there was excellent and I'll definitely be back!

Best place for cheese, meats, and all Italian foods. Also great wine selection! I love picking up pizza fixings and making them with my kids.

Great place to buy deli meats and cheeses. I bought a variety of small desserts to bring when visiting with family and they loved it. I got a chocolate mousse, plain cheesecake and a caramel pecan cheesecake (which was my favorite). Indoor/Outdoor seating.

I'm still bemoaning the demise of Caputo grocery stores in the Northwest suburbs, so it was nice to visit this delightful market. My salivary glands kicked into overdrive due to the delicious smell of cheese wafting through the air. Alas, I must be a glutton for punishment because I can't even eat cheese ... so I just drooled looking at the wonderful, artfully displayed, impressive selection of cheeses. They also have a nice cafe and a decent selection of Italian food products.

All the cheese you need. As a European who was slightly appalled at the average cheese in the USA, this was a godsend. A nice place to eat for a bit and the best place I know of to get good cheese in Illinois

One of my favorite places to go. Award winning cheeses seriously! Part of the key to the quality is the freshness of the product. I can tell you that my Italian grandmother would be amazed at the quality and freshness of the ricotta. There is no comparison to anything else you can get. The mozzarella makes amazing pastas, pizzas, and salads. Great off the wheel prices on all the imports. If you are hungry while shopping have them make you one of their signature sandwiches, you won't be disappointed.

Shabby low class service. I ordered a spinach frittata an cappuccino and when I went to the condiments counter the hot sauce was empty. I asked for more and was told “we don’t have any.” What?! I pointed to the shelf were there was rows of hot sauce for sale. With an attitude the staff opened one. Then when I went to pay I informed them they were breaking the law and endangering my credit card information by not offering a secure chip reader. I was laughed at and told them this was not funny. Low class! Not going back! They should be fined for not being in compliance with the law around securing credit card transactions! Disgusting that I was laughed at...

This used to be Caputo Cheese Market and it had a much better selection of cheeses and deli products. I was sorry to see it change hands.

Great free cheese samples every time I go there. The takeout food is among the cheapest in Lake Forest and it actually gets you full. Pasties and soup are also usually quite good.

Was in this morning to grab a sandwich and watched as they repackaged Costco Chocolate chip cookies for sale. As for their sandwich it was good, but if your looking for a treat perhaps just stop by Costco yourself rather than pay an up charge for their cookies!

I just love this market. They carry a wide range of cheeses from around the world, terrific Salumi, olives, frozen pastas, sauces, you name it’s carried by this store and is delicious!

Frank Visconti is nothing but a thief and a cheat. He stiffs people all the time when he owes them money for services or product. He has changed expiration dates and knowingly sold bug infested food to unsuspecting venders. Since I have known him he has run R&V imports into bankruptcy, Then it Was Visconti Foods. I hope Caputo's is not his next victim. I know I would not feel safe eating there or confident I am actually getting good product.
